About this Course
This qualification will give you the knowledge and skills needed when working with children and young people from birth to 19 years. As an apprentice you will work within a childcare setting and attend college one day per week.

What will I study?
  • Implementing duty of care
  • Engaging in personal development in children’s and young people’s settings
  • Promote child and young person development
  • Developing communication skills with both children and adults

What are the entry requirements?
  • You should be 16 years or above with at least five GCSEs at grade A to C, including English and maths
  • A keen interest in working with children
  • Excellent communication skills and commitment to the programme
  • You will need to have a satisfactory DBS check
